This project began last year with the purpose of gaining deeper insight into the opportunities and challenges currently facing distributors and manufacturers in the Puget Sound region. Many local companies are encountering key challenges, including hiring and retention in a competitive market as well as taxes and other government compliance, the majority are also anticipating growth – both in terms of revenue and new employees. Last year was the first survey which can be viewed here.
Last year, the survey was deployed to over 600 distribution and manufacturing professionals in the Puget Sound area. Over 40% of the respondents indicated they are the Owner, President or CEO of their organization, with another 35% of respondents in top management: CFOs, COOs or Director/ Senior Manager roles. The remaining 25% of respondents encompass key support positions, including Supervisors, Managers and Consultants.
